Another day of improvement. They tested for aspirating, and there was none. Nothing has grown back on the blood cultures yet. The antibiotics seem to be working, as Layla's fever is gone and she's energetic again. Layla did well today, and she's been wide awake playing with mommy and daddy. Just finally falling asleep.
Tomorrow is her first trach change with Dr. Maddern and then (hoping!) we can hold again.
Monday Layla will move to a big girl crib, which she needs now that she is 8lb 4oz!
